I chose this shop from the Yellow Pages. I had the accident July 4th, early morning. Owner Jim Phillips came to my house within 45 minutes, which was great. All the employees were very cooperative. (Letter to Insurance Company) After an auto accident that my daughter had on 1/10/06, we by nothing less than shear Luck, end up at River City Auto Body, owner Jim Phillips. River City Auto Body just happens to also be part of your Select Service Program, in our area. The reason that I felt compelled to write you about my experience was to ask you why this Body Shop is one of your best kept secrets from your customers in this area? I and friends of mine, have had body work done at a number of other places in this area that were ok, but nothing like the quality exhibited from Mr. Phillips and his staff. It began at our first meeting, with his genuine courtesy, absolute professionalism, and unbelievable attention to detail. After he had our car dismantled, he called and asked if we would like to stop by, so he could explain and show us what was going to be done to our car. So I took him up on his offer by picking up my daughter from school that afternoon and off we went. I cannot even begin to explain to you the profound object lesson it had upon my daughter. This has certainly raised her driving awareness to a new level. I feel that this should be a matter of practice by your Select Service family. Then if all this wasn't good enough, I wish that you could personally see the finished product. I would challenge anyone, after looking over this unbelievable example of workmanship, to tell me what part of this car was even worked on. It would be my sincere hope that you would pass this experience of mine on to your agents in this local. If you do not, your company and your customers will be the only loser!!!!! (Letter to Insurance Company) I'm sure you are aware that about 3 weeks ago I called about being in an auto accident. I took the car to two different Chrysler dealerships thinking that they would be the best at fixing my car. Luckily, on my way home I stopped by the mechanic that works on my cars. When he saw the 300 he asked where I was going to get it repaired. I told him I had a couple of estimates from dealerships. He suggested I go visit River City Auto Body right in Waterford. Now, I haven't been in many accidents, and my mentality, like many people, is the dealers are probably the best place to get your car fixed when its been in an accident. The people at River City, Jim the owner, along with the employees that I met, impressed me and I came away from there thinking that I may be mistaken in my idea that dealerships are the best way TO go. River City got my confidence and repaired the 300. I'm VERY picky and the car is FLAWLESS. It was repaired in a reasonable amount of time and I was treated great. They even asked if I wanted to come and look at the car once ' they got it apart. Being the car guy I am, I took them up on their offer. Even though Jim the owner was busy doing something else when I arrived, he stopped and came over and explained everything that they did up to that point, and what was left to do to repair it to as good as new. If River City is not on your "approved" list, it certainly should be. Thank You, Chuck W. |
